Expert Agrees on Jokowi`s Recognition of HIPMI`s Bahlil Lahadalia

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - National political communication expert Emrus Sihombing agrees to President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo's approval of the Young Indonesian Entrepreneurs Association (HIPMI) Chairman Bahlil Lahadalia as a state minister.
“He is a great and fearless individual. Isn’t that trait needed in a leader?” said Emrus to Tempo today.
Furthermore, Emrus says that Bahlil is an entrepreneur who started his career from the bottom and his current position as HIPMI chairman only further proves his entrepreneurship capabilities. He also revealed a positive element of the young generations such as Bahlil.

He deemed that these younger generation professionals do not bear any political debt and are not part of any political party. “It would be perfect to place them in cabinet positions,” says Emrus.
During a break-the-fast event hosted by HIPMI on Sunday, May 26, President Jokowi praised Bahlil and argues that he bears sufficient managerial capabilities and great execution skills, “Don’t be surprised if you eventually get chosen,” President Jokowi hinted.
Moreover, Emrus argues that it is time for Jokowi to lead his second term in office together with people who carry no past political burden.
